Platforms like Google Workspace and Office 365 are immensely popular because they’re so easy to quickly create and share documents. Unfortunately, that same speed of use also allows simple mistakes to cause massive damage. Plus, these environments make it very easy for malicious hackers to take advantage. In general, all the wonderful advantages of cloud collaboration also make it incredibly dangerous.

Joining me for this discussion will be:

In preparation for our discussion, think about the following:

  • Even when you’re doing all the right security measures (e.g., SSO and MFA) around collaboration tools, what can and does go wrong?
  • On their own, where are these tools falling short with security measures?
  • What are some of the most common innocent mistakes that cause the most damage? What are the possible mitigations?
  • On the malicious side, how do you even know when data is being stolen?
  • Is there a way to tell if data is secured?

It all starts at 10 AM Pacific/1 PM Eastern. At the end of the hour [11 AM Pacific/2 PM Eastern] we’ll switch gears into a series of impromptu 1-on-1 five-minute meetings where everyone will be randomly paired. Nothing to prepare, we’ll do the matching.
