Please join us on Friday December 5, 2025 for Super Cyber Friday.

Our topic of discussion will be “Hacking AI Data Readiness: An hour of critical thinking about what you have to do before you turn on your shiny new tool.”

Joining David Spark (@dspark), producer of CISO Series for this discussion will be:

In preparation for our discussion, think about the following:

  • What happens when organizations skip data preparation and jump straight to deploying AI security tools?
  • How do you determine what counts as “garbage” data versus valuable context? Who should make that call?
  • What’s the relationship between poor data quality and security blind spots? Does messy data create more risk than no data at all?
  • How do you recognize when your team has moved from “managing multiple data sources” to genuinely compromising your security visibility?
  • Why do AI platforms make bad data look just as good as quality data in their outputs? How do you measure effectiveness when success and failure look identical?
  • How did we end up with so many disparate security data sources in the first place? Is consolidation realistic?
  • How does data readiness change for regulated industries where compliance requires specific data handling and audit trails?
  • What role does continual compliance automation play in maintaining AI-ready data, and how do you keep it from becoming just another data source to manage?
  • What’s one thing you wish security leaders understood about data preparation before they start shopping for AI security solutions?

Huge thanks to our episode sponsor, Alteryx

It all starts at 1 PM Eastern/10 AM Pacific. At the end of the hour [2 PM Eastern/11 AM Pacific] we’ll switch gears to our meetup where everyone will get a chance to chat face to face.
