Please join us on Friday May 15, 2026 for Super Cyber Friday.
Our topic of discussion will be “Hacking the Cloud Security Playbook: An hour of critical thinking about CNAPP in the age of AI development.”

Joining David Spark, producer of CISO Series for this discussion will be:
- Dan Benjamin, vp product – data, identity, and AI security, Palo Alto Networks
- Howard Holton, CEO, GigaOm
In preparation for our discussion, think about the following:
- CNAPP was supposed to bring cloud security tools together. But has it actually unified the SOC, AppSec, and CloudSec teams, or just given each silo a shinier tool?
- When everyone can identify and visualize risk, what’s next? Where does cloud security go from here?
- CNAPP was designed to help security keep pace with agile cloud development. Now AI coding tools are accelerating that development dramatically. Does CNAPP even have a chance of keeping up?
- Google estimates roughly a third of production code is now written with AI assistance. What does that do to your attack surface, and is the cloud security industry even thinking about that yet?
- Legacy security vendors are now entering the CNAPP space. Does that validate the category, or signal that it’s already becoming commoditized before it’s fully matured?
- Analysts have a fairly settled view of what CNAPP is and what it solves. What are they getting wrong?
- What does the next generation of cloud security need to do that CNAPP, as currently defined, simply can’t?
It all starts at 1 PM Eastern/10 AM Pacific. At the end of the hour [2 PM Eastern/11 AM Pacific] we’ll switch gears to our meetup where everyone will get a chance to chat face to face.
Huge thanks to our sponsor, Palo Alto Networks
